How We Initiated the FOSS Community
The UOK FOSS Community emerged with a clear objective: to provide University of Kelaniya students with a robust learning environment. Originating as a Dev Community, our initial focus was on facilitating hands-on learning experiences. However, the journey was not without its challenges, and the community underwent significant reforms to address them. The steadfast support from the Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Technology played a pivotal role in overcoming obstacles and establishing the UOK FOSS Community.
The UOK FOSS Community stands today as a testament to the principles of open collaboration empowering our members with enriching experiences. Join us as we navigate the expansive landscape of open-source technology, fostering a professional yet inclusive atmosphere for the University of Kelaniya community.
